The Eastern Health Emergency Research Program coordinates translational research at the Emergency Departments of Eastern Health Box Hill, Maroondah and Angliss, including the ARISE FLUIDS study, “Just Say No to the Just In Case Cannula” study, and EDNAV initiative.
We strive to improve patient experiences through clinician interventions, an evidence-based approach to clinical decision making, and an emphasis on reducing unnecessary pathology tests and imaging.
Our team includes researchers with clinical, academic, and public health experience, helping us to balance person-centred care, systems thinking, and an appreciation for the challenges of emergency clinical practice.
