Our Team of Lactation Consultants have internationally recognised qualifications in breastfeeding management.
The Eastern Health Lactation Support Unit offers support and care for Women during the Antenatal and early Postnatal period.
Our aim is to reduce conflicting advice, ensure recommended advice is current, consistent and based on sound principles, practice and research.
Women may be referred to the Lactation Support Unit during the Antenatal period to discuss breastfeeding related issues.
Postnatal Lactation support is available at Box Hill Hospital, Angliss Hospital and Yarra Ranges Health during the first three weeks after discharge from hospital care.
