Eastern Health (EH) is the leading public health service in the eastern region of Melbourne.  All EH campuses are accredited for physician training by the Royal Australasian College of Physicians (RACP).  Our Basic and Advanced trainee physicians are encouraged and supported to become independent, self-reliant consultant physicians.

Our medical registrars achieve excellent results in the RACP Written and Clinical Examinations and are highly sought after as Advanced Trainees and Physicians, within Eastern Health and by other major health services.  Eastern Health Angliss, Box Hill and Maroondah all host candidates for the annual RACP Clinical Examinations.

EH’s Physician Training Program has a reputation for providing a highly supportive learning environment, with involvement of the Chief Medical Officer, Directors of Physician Education, Educational Supervisors/Professional Development Advisors, the EH Medical Workforce Unit, Basic Training Coordinator, three Senior Medical Registrars, and many enthusiastic advanced trainees, physicians and mentors.  Many of our physicians are experienced RACP examiners.

Advanced Training positions are offered in General Medicine, Acute Care Medicine, Infectious Diseases, Endocrinology, Cardiology, Gastroenterology, Respiratory Medicine, Neurology, Oncology, Clinical and Laboratory Haematology, Aged Care, Nephrology, Rheumatology and Palliative Care.
